OT-650million

I see where some football player put down $10,000 on tickets, musta took all day to run them off. My wife had a cafe a few years back and she had a pot for each drawing. I'd always go fetch the tickets and check the numbers after the drawing. Many times I'd have several hundred 5 dollar tickets and not have one single 3 dollar winner. And most that we ever won was $124 bucks.

Well if and again IF we hit then maybe i can get new tires for the truck and the 806and fill the tank on the goat for the first time in about 8 years and really splurge and get a new pair of dress boots since i have been waren this old Masons since Sept of 77 .

Gonna get rid of that noisy Kubota 4 cylinder and get me a good 880 Oliver. Oh, and several tons of gold and silver.

The other night a commentator was talking about gas prices. He said "In 1948, gas was 20 cents a gallon. 2 silver dimes. Now, silver dimes are trading at 21 times face value. So a gallon of gas is. . . carry the 2. . . silver dime is $2.10, so gallon of gas is. . . still 2 dimes!

If the news says the winning ticket was sold in West Quincy MO,I will have to go get my ticket out of the work truck.

The grand daughter wants to marry a cowboy,so if I win,I guess I'll have to buy the state of Wyoming and have all of'em line up for her inspection.

Place the money in trust right from the beginning. Even for yourself. Bodyguards will be a fact of life for you as you and your family will be the focus of criminals including kidnappers. I wish I lived in a state with strong privacy laws but since I will not win I guess I will not have to worry.

who ever wins, can i be a long lost relative, i need a new batt for my lawn tractor.....not greedy,,,then if you want to buy me a new tractor, i won't complain either...lol

(quoted from post at 19:25:56 03/30/12) I heard on the news that 9 out of 10 big lotto winners file for bankruptcy within 5 years. Can that be right?

Yep it's true. Same thing is true about pro athletes too.

What happens is they want to live that dream. The mansions, jet setting....ECT. When you win 50 mil and buy a 3-4 mil house in your home state, one in Key West and another on the west coast and have to heat and cool them, staff them and everything else plus pay taxes on em it all adds up.Like the one guy who did all that and got a Lear Jet.....Don't help when the "old friends and relatives" all come out of the wood work too.

Most of them don't understand investments, trust funds and such.

What bothers me is that most of the pros attended college......they should at least know......but then listen to some of em in interviews.......guess they really didn't have to learn much.

Who could honestly say that they could enjoy that much money????
I'd be happy with enough to pay the house off, put enough in the bank so the interest would let one of us stay home and the other work a part time job. Drive decent and practical vehicles without being in debt. AND, put enough in an account to buy a motorhome when we decide to get rid of everything and just hang out.
I wouldn't want the headaches of having a bunch of property and equipment that I'd have to worry about folks stealing or tresspassing on.....

Most lottery winners are broke within five years, that has been touted as a fact... Must be people don"t have money management skills. Seems to me, that it would be quick and dirty to invest in bonds, or something with a pretty sure future, and live off the interest.

News reports at least one winner, as of this morning. Maybe more. Probably still sorting all those entries!

IF YOU WIN: the people who will HATE you the
most...will be your lazy son-in-law, and your
brothers.....because...no mater how much you
give them...it"s not enough ! !

3 winners- in Maryland, Kansas and Illinois.

Probably just as well- I can't locate the ticket I bought anyhow.

I'd be very concerned about having a target on all my grandkids, once it became known you're worth 200 million bucks. But they said in Maryland, you're not required to identify yourself to the public, like in many states. If I ever win, you'll know its me by the fake ZZ Top beard, hat and dark glasses, using the name John Smith

> Must be people don"t have money management skills.

Because if they did, they wouldn't be buying lottery tickets :)
