I know you're no dummy... but are you sure it isn't sposta be
like that? I've seen plenty of manifolds like that.

Well first off let me correct you on your accessment of what a dummy is! ;)

When it comes to what I'm doing right now with this tractor, I'm leanin' towards the dummy side. :) ...maybe it is...

This don't look good. Rear intake port! wth?

Looks like an intake sewer!!! :(

Oh thats not so bad! As long the cylinders dont look like that.
Ive pulled spark plugs that looked like an underwater
shipwreck.

They are intended to be there. They isolate the heat from the intake port, and allow for expansion/contraction. Pieces are cast separately.
Use a cup wire brush and hog out the rust, common and needs to be gone.
Ignorance is not idiocy. One can be repaired, the other not. Jim

(quoted from post at 03:01:38 03/29/12) Nope that manifold is as it should be but yes it looks like it has sat a few to many days and needs a good cleaning up.

Wew! Sorry fellas but with my luck lately I was ready the worst!

Well then, there's "a waiting on parts project." I'll clean the manifolds after I order everything I need.
