I wonder if that came over Mexico, formed over TX & OK, or came up from the gulf? Reminds me of a hurricane after it drives inland a bit. Explains the heat wave on the east coast…….

That's actually just the switching of sensitivity on the NEXRAD station. If there are no storm systems to detect they change the elevation on the radar station and it picks up fog, swarms of bugs, windfarms, etc. You see that a lot when you look at a big map of NEXRAD data merged together like this one.

It was over us the last couple of days here in N. TX. Came up from Mexico and S. TX. You could watch the Tstorms develop out of nowhere down around Uvalde, TX. on Intellicast RADAR. We got some nice rains out of it and a little bit of wind.
