just plain out stealing is what it is, we get that in the tourist town up the road from us, its always a dime to 75 cents higher than anywhere else, the gas station owners are all buddies and call each other every night to set the price in town, its been that way for 40 years, they all raise there prices within 1 hour, the problem with it is they did not all get fuel deliveries the night before! so it isnt the price from the distributor that is changing, i drive 140 miles to buy fuel as i buy it several hundred gallons at a time usually, and i just feel less, "raw" doing it that way , hope nobody is desperate enough to buy that stations fuel

It must have been near one of those car rental places. Saw something about that not long ago. People wait to refill rental cars until they're just ready to drop them off, then the nearby stations gouge the heck out of'em.

Is it true that when external_link became the president gas was under $2. per gallon , and todays price is ?????, wake up america???

What's wrong with that???? Supply and demand.... Just ask the folks that were sellin the Texans hay last year.......

A thief is a thief, no matter what business he runs......

Yes and that includes those who are able to work at something but dont, and draw checks on the tax payers, because the checks are more than what theyd make if they worked.

NO president should be blamed for the gas prices. This is the free market at work. People are complaining about food prices too that are rising at a far greater rate than inflation. Are the farmers gouging us? No, they are selling their crops at the market price when they choose to. The real culprits are China and India. They have a lot of dollars partially because the movement of America jobs overseas and that my friends was enabled largely by Congress for the short term profits of their doners. We have the best government money can buy.

Yeah, I always laugh at that- doesn't anybody realize that you can drive any car at least 50 miles after filling, before the needle even budges off full?

That would be nice if they blamed NO president, but that doesn't seem to happen. President Bush was blamed for it big time. Problem is, they all claim they can do something about it before they are in office but then find out things are not quite that simple.

I filled my truck yesterday for 3,49.9 at Sam's. I passed a service station not far from Sam's, their sign said $3,44.9. I don't know what in h8ll we,re gonna do if it gets any higher.

Less see we have more gas than we can use right here in the usa so ??? what the problem use our own not other countries???? now how hard was that. and Im not even president???

Pretty much (the majority) the entire I-95 corridor is millions of single occupant vehicles commuting and domestic car sales are up. Things are probably as they should be.

How much were they selling it for? Most of what I saw going to Texas from here was $25-40 a 4x5 net wrapped bale picked up at the farm. That's at or below cost. It could easily cost $90 a bale or more to get it there from here.
I still see 3-4 loads a day going that way.

Just what folks were putting on here... If trans is really that much, I guess it could be expensive.....

It's 6-700 miles to the drought area from here so freight can add up quick when they only haul 34-38 bales a load. It sounded like you were calling all hay sellers thieves, sorry if I misinterpreted your comment. There is a lot of good information here but I find it best to take some of the information on this site with a grain of salt.

Just couldn't get the $150+ rounds and the big small square prices in my head, never thought transport could/would be that much....
