fell in the shower fri. eve. -hit my ribbs on the left side-- cant lay or walk - my big chair is home for a while--tv remote telephone laptop magazines 2 days and iam bored already - getting out of the chair is real tuff so i better not go to the shop where i really want to be --pray for quick recovery and patients thanks
for now!!

I know what you mean,while I was sick with the flu,I was getting depressed because I had no strength to do anything. Hope you get well real soon,best of luck for a speedy recovery

Sounds painful..... might want to try wearing some good-non-slip winter boots next time.... Oh crap!! I shouldn't be trying to make you laugh :roll: Take care-rest is the best for now

Sounds like myself a few years ago. I had placed a #2 galvanized wash tub full of water in the back yard with a light over it to try to catch japanese hornets. Stepped out the back door one night and missed a step, fell right across that tub, twisted my knee and hit my ribs on the edge of the tub, knocked the wind out of me so I couldn't call for help. By the time I got my wind back I was able to hobble back in the house but could hardly breathe or walk for a few days.

I can relate to that.

I've cracked ribs twice in the last few years, once I fell off a ladder in my shop and another time I crashed on some icy steps. Both times I slept in a reclier for a coupla weeks 'cause it hurt too much to lie flat in bed.

Sorry to hear that! Farmer friend's Dad was in the cattle pen while the friend and his hired hand were sorting Mommas and babies. The Dad was leaning against the loader bucket, when a Momma turned and charged him! Broke 4 ribs, 2 weeks later he is still in ICU, had a heart attack after they operated to keep the ribs from puncturing his lung. Really messed him up!

Last fall I fell off a ladder. More than twenty years working with ladders without serious incident, but I was just stupid that day. Bruised some ribs on my right side. It wasn't until during wintertime that I realized that I had also cracked two teeth. Not bad, but I can feel the hairline cracks. Which reminds me, I still need to go see the dentist about that.

Twentyfive years ago fell and put my hand down to catch myself. Broke the ball off of arm at shoulder. Few years ago sliped on ice folded my arm to my side and fell on it so wouldn't break anything and broke a rib.
