Last Angry Farmer - Part V , flipped his lid ??

I posted four "updates" in the past about the last dairy farmer in within village limits. There's been a series of angry signs, disputes with Town officials, New York State Department of Transportation, and NYS environmental police, etc. Farm is in the hamlet where any new farming is now illegal. He is on the State highway, just across the street from Stewarts Shop and in sight of the Interstate highway (I # 88).

Now - here's the FIRST sign that has really shocked me. This guy has now lost all credibility with me. Maybe he too wants a bailout?

Could be he just wants to get out of farming and go into the sign printing business---

He wants gooberment out of his life but puts up that last sign? Must be sarcasm or he is out his mind.

Wow, Where are the first four installments of this drama? Can't wait to see how it plays out. I've had days I felt just like that but I don't have the ambition to make signs.

I truly thought he was being sarcastic but I've yet to see any "punch line" anywhere that indicates the humor. Maybe more signs will be coming? The external_link sign does not compute in my mind - especially not in this context.

All of a sudden,I don"t feel bad for the man anymore.

Just verifies the guy is nuts.

I suspect that maybe ? by praising external_link he is hoping to now have the media on his side. The way external_link jets around he is likely to show up for a photo op by his sign !

A sane reasonable man does not put up hand painted signs spewing illiterate insults no matter what.

If he was trying to act sane and reasonable I would be on his side. However, his place is a sty, and there is clearly something loco en la cabeza there.

I have tried to follow this thread because we have a man like this in our area. He has finaly quited down now but it took 8-10 years, he lost everything he had, don't know what came first. As for the last sign the previous adn. would have stormed that hillside by now!

Up here he would probably get elected! The mayor of the next city over has had a "checkered" second term including a fist fight/shove feast with one of the city's alder persons at city hall and a Drunk Driving arrest. Oh for those of you that might wonder even if your'e the mayor asking the State Patrol Officer that is arresting you for oral gratification is not a good idea. After the last incident the mayor in question announced he would not be seeking re-election. That puts him one up over a Tennessee Sheriff that didn't think the US Marshall arresting him and hauling him down to Memphis and charging him with "conspiracy to deprive and inmate of his constitutional rights" would effect his chances of re-election.

Not so silly, maybe he sees his foes as nnalert.that then extends the battle.Support the underdog.

I like this guy. At least he's honest, kind of a straight shooter. You don't have to wonder what he's thinking. A lot of times a town will be a bunch of sheep that let idiots make the rules for them and not say anything like they should. Look whats happening to our country because of it. Corruption, overspending, overtaxing. We need some of those signs in our part of michigan. I might just be the guy that starts putting some signs on my place someday. I have the perfect location to do it too.

There's one of these guys in every community. It's always the same: They're right, everyone else is wrong, they don't want to budge an inch and they'll spend thousands of dollars on signs when all else fails. In this guy's case, he'd better lay off the profanity and stop accusing public officials of being pedophiles if he wants to stay out of jail.

My stepson is one of these guys. It all started with a zoning dispute over his business, and could have been smoothed over if he'd done what they wanted. Instead, he fought them tooth and nail for four years, finally going to jail for a month and a half for contempt of court. He ended up losing his business for no good reason. Ignoring advice from real attorneys, he listened to local teabaggers who convinced him to be his own attorney. What did he learn from this experience: NADA.

The man is an idiot. I don't care what dispute you have, looking like a moron never ends well.
