Helping out around the house?

I have been loafing around the shed today working on the planter and the sprayer so I came in the house to grab a quick bite to eat. Now I like to think I do my share around the place, so I noticed the trash needed to go out, no big deal. Then I came back in and had to look, and look hard to find the replacement bags. Needless to say I felt compelled to do the dishes also. Just don't tell the wife that I noticed I'm a slob.

Feelin' guilty about something?

OH the shame of it all , You done messed up now . Lets see here i am the almost full time cook the electrician , carpenter , mechanic , dog walker, snow removal specialist. lawn care pro. window cleaner. , waste disposal tech, and on occasion dish washer. The only field that i have not got into has been laundry and I AM NOT ALLOWED to mess with her machines. And oh yes the janitor.

you have to be a little bit of a slob--then SHMBO feels like she needs to take care of you. if you do it all you end up with Peggy Bundy sitting on the couch eating bon bons--(kinda like my ex).

SWBMO let's me "mess " with her laundry machines
when they are broken. I can replace dryer elements
and thermal fuses, washer belts and pumps, she seems
to forgot I did my own laundry for seven years
before I met her and the fact that I'm not good a
washing lady's undergarments might be a good thing
for her in the long run.

I guess that's one advantage of me working away from home so much, she's usually glad to see me when I get home (pay check comes in the mail) and I'm not home long enough to get in too much trouble until around June when I get laid off thru September when I go back to work. Durnig the summer I'm making hay or fixing equipment so I'm in the shop and field alot. After 40 years, not much fighting around our house (I learned long ago how to say Yes Dear LOL. Just my thoughts, Keith

Don't know what you guys are talking about--I run things around our house--the dishwasher, the vacuum, the washing machine, the dryer! I'm pretty good at running stuff.

Let's just hope ya ain't havin a stroke or something--

There's a fence behind my house. That's our line of demarcation. Anything in front is hers, and anything behind it is mine. Even the lawn. Works real good, too.

I like to cook, grill, smoke ect, I will do dishes,. I don't do
laundry or run dish washer, fold clothes ect. I dont vacume.
When wife asked my why not, I tell her to feel free to bring in
firewood, change cat litter ect. Actually I did her a favor, with
my new wood boiler she can't lift the 2 foot long logs to feed
it! Lol

Mine don't mess with me. The other day I had her down on her knees begging, "PLEASE come out from under that bed and fight like a man!"

I was at my girl friend's house one time and saw her dad scrubbing the kitchen floor. I thought to my self that will never be me. Guess who does the foor cleaning at our house? Me. Stan

Gee I don't know about you guys. I don't do anything around the house except loading the dishwasher.......yep I get her a bottle of wine every now and then!

Jim hit the nail on the head! Anytime I help the wife or offer to help, I get the question, "What did you do wrong?"

Jeeze, can't a guy be nice, or maybe its the guilty look, or the "I need money to buy something look"

Rick

things work great at my house. she cooks- i eat. she
does dishes- i put away the leftovers.she does
laundry- i put away my clothes.on occasion i do
dishes and run vac.she does not complain about the
tractors-i do not complain about her flowers.been
working for 37 years.

My wife is always whineing, that I should help
her around the house...like vacuuming, washing,
clothes, or dish"s...and I say, "Be glad to..
When are you going to help blow snow, cut grass,
rototill garden?" That shuts her up till next
time!
