I just pulled this off my tractor. It works, but I'm not sure what I'll use it for next.

I'm not sure who makes it though. Old ford alt?

looks like the one I had rebuilt once when mine went bad in my 72 dodge pu. the colored band indicated the output..Mine was green 80 amp

Kind of looks like the Leece-Neville/Prestolite alternator used on HD Dodge and GM applications.

Dean has it . It is the common Chrysler alt. used from its introduction in the '60's up to when they went to NipponDenso in the '80's I loved the design where you could change the brushes in it with out removing it from the engine , if you had room around it !! It was never used by Ford or GM...

Yep - that's a first generation "grounded field" Chrysler alternator, used from 1960 to 1970. It is identified by a single field terminal and uses a mechanical (relay type) regulator,

Incidentally the 2nd generation (1971 and later) "isolated field" alternator looks similar but has TWO field terminals, in order to work with a solid state regulator.

Ive put new brushes in these in parking lots and on the road.Nice design much better than the later junk.Found on Chrysler products, not guessing, know it for sure.
