JD fanshaft pinion gears

Looking for fanshaft gear for unstyled JD A. I dont know if these usually sell as a pair with gov'r gear or not. Serial #467517 Thanks Tom

They are sold new as apair. Last I checked mother Deere wanted about $600 for them and that was a couple of years ago. I have assembled governors with used gears, not a pair, if they were not worn and gotten away with it. My 1941 A has been running like that without problems for three years and several hundred hours, but maybe I was just lucky.

All I've ever seen was a call out in the service manual. That said you needed to shim the ventalation pump housing on the shaft to a certain gear lash. So I would think you could mix gears just fine.
