Hey folks,
anyone that fools with motorcycles.... What is the assembly called that is the electronic ignition (??) that is under a cover on the side of the motor where points would have been? Need one for my quad but don't know what to look for.

Ignition Module (possibly including coils for the
alternator). Sometimes in Europe it is called a
dynamo. other times it is called a generator.

Go to http://www.powerpartsplus.com/ and look up your year and model. Go to the engine section and look for the generator. It will show pictures with part numbers. I think you are looking for a stator. I got one for my Yamaha Warrior from Dennis Kirk in Minnesota at a good price.

Yes, it's the stator. Why did you replace yours??? I'm kinda at a loss right now. Just made another thread with my problem, mind taking a look?
