im in the third week of trying to get a hydraulic remote system for a kubota L4630 gst, the manuel plainly shows this was a option for this tractor, so there should be a kit to retrofit it, it simply bolts on to the hydraulic system at a port on the side of the tractor chassis, 1 dealer 70 miles away wont even answer the phone, and wont return my emails, he took over an old ih dealership, and has about 5 diffferent lines of products in there now, the next dealer is 150 miles the other way he's just kubota, i talked with the parts dept twice both times he said he would call back with price and availability in a few minutes, i dont care about cost i just want the unit, neighbor has a ditcher we want to get going so we can irrigate, time is a wasting am i expecting too much? anybody had problems with kubotas like this? only other tractor we have with a remote already on it is a ford jubilee, and that simply isnt enough tractor or hydraulic system to run it

Eric give me a e-mail driect.. Have the valve kit in stock.. IT IS NOT TECGINALY A PART.. May be part of the reason. If your dealer is not been a kubota dealer long enough to know could be the problem. It is what KUBOTA calls a wholegood number. Give me a tick and I will get the the wholdgood number or try and help. Sorry for your problems.. jm.

Eric here is what you want to tell the dealer you want::: Valve mount kit # L8335
and one double acting valve # L 8308
Again if you have any problems tick me and will put you in touch with my dealership. Can get you going. Anybody that has been a dealer for anylength of time should have those items in stock. Somewhere around $ 600 to 700 I am thinking.

I guess I'm lucky, I have probably seven kubota dealers I can think of within 40 miles of where I live. I have never had any problem with any of them I have dealt with. The two I have brought tractors from Have been real good to me. I currently have two kubotas at this time and have been real happy. The only problem I have had is my JD buddies hooting on me even though my last one was built down in Georgia. The last one I traded in I got almost what I paid for it new after using it for 13 years. They hold there value and have good dealer support, in my opinion. I have seen allot of tractors like yours with a remote on it. I can't understand why you are having a problem. I would e-mail them on their web site and complain.

thanks jm, that may be the problem, i plan to call the 150 mile dealer and give him these numbers and give him 1 chance to get this right, then i'll email you and we can work a deal from there, really need to get this going, thanks a bunch for your help

I stopped buying kubota a couple of months ago because they took the dealership away from a local independent IH dealer named Chuck Becker. He is a stand alone dealer who has supported both the IH and Kubota lines with the best service I have ever had from any dealer. You need parts he would get them and even deliver to your farm day or night without extra fees. Last fall a local chain of new holland dealer named Roberts had kubota at a few of it's dealers threatened to dump them unless they got the monopoly. Well they got it and almost put chuck out of business. Normally I really wouldn't care but the New Holland dealer has always had poor or dissmal service at best so if I want the right kubota parts I will have to drive at least an hour to get what I need. I'm just tired of chain dealers crying and pushing independents out of business, but in the end the japanese really don't care as long as they get their cash.

I find this hard to believe. All of the Kubota owners on here usually talk about how their tractor will run for ten years on a single tank of fuel and that the dealers just roll out the red carpet every time they go to them. Then they get four times what they gave for it when they trade it back in. Plus they can pull a fifteen shank ripper with their forty horse power tractor. You must have the only dud dealer in the history of the company.

I guess you will have to trade for a Mahindra now. They are the next most worshiped tractor that is imported.

Why don't you give Robinson Equipment a try in Lakeview Michigan? All they handle is Kubota and Kuhn. Never heard a complaint about them. 989 352 7206

What's not hard to believe is the post above was written by the same person who was on here about a year ago crying and complaining because too many posters had problems with their JD tractors and/or dealers. LoL

Every single manufacturer has some poor dealers including JD who don't look after their customers. Take away the word imported at the end of the last sentence and the whole post could be about JD, who by the way, import lot's and lot's of tractors.

Somebody posted yesterday with a short list of countries that Deere imports tractors from. Seems like it was Germany,Japan,India,Italy,Brazil and Mexico to name a few.
As far as Deere dealers,I remember when we had one. Didn't know how lucky we were at the time. Anybody who still has one should be thanking their lucky stars. Deere seems to be on a mission to get rid of all of them and replace them with Sams Club style warehouse locations, few and far between. Guess they know what they're doing since they never have and never can do anything wrong.

I agree with doubleR. You need to let the company know of the problems you are having with your dealer. How else will they know? The dealer himself is not going to rat on himself. If no one complains they think everything is going fine. You can shake things up real fast by complaining to the right people.

(quoted from post at 11:17:18 03/11/12) I find this hard to believe. All of the Kubota owners on here usually talk about how their tractor will run for ten years on a single tank of fuel and that the dealers just roll out the red carpet every time they go to them.

JDseller
Stating that Mahindra tractors are a close second to the leading(most worshiped) imported tractors in the USA is inaccurate. I think JD or NH would covet that second place trophy. At least around where I live.

I was at a consignment sale yesterday and saw a pretty nice 781 chopper go for 2100 dollars with both heads. I did'nt know if you were still looking. Surprised that it took 5 minutes to get an opening bid. I would have bought to resell if it had gone for a 1000 dollars or less.

I think I paid $950 for the one that I had. Saw one on a sale earlier that same year bring $3500,so it just depends on the auctioneer and the crowd I guess. There's a Gehl 1060 coming up on a sale close to home next month. Has a 2RN corn head, snapper head, pickup and electric controls. I want to see what that one brings. The Agco dealer that I deal with has a 1065 too. Haven't asked him what he wants for it,but he's not too hard to deal with.

One farmer YOU can thank you skid steer manafacture for that problem.. They force kubota to nOT let us handel the engine parts for their units.. However if your parts man had know what engine you were dealing with could have got it from the matching tractor engine. Really gets complicated trying to explain why we can look up parts for the engines used in other equipment even though it is KUBOTA engine but that is just the way it is. Not KUBOT,s best intrest but the manfactures of the equipment want you to have to go back to their dealer.. ie BOBCAT who we no longer sel new engines to

You"re not too far away from me then? I never used to have a problem with Roberts till I found out about a month ago that they did this. I don"t really want to deal with them on anything now. I have an independent Kubota dealer but no New Holland dealer now. I"m not really a big fan of Chuck, but he had Kubota for years, and didn"t deserve that kind of treatment from them.

This rrlund guy MUST be an IH owner. Around my area the only ones that b--ch the most about Deere are IH owners. There is a reason you see more green than any other colors in the field!

You are so right ..Used to could do it but just in the last year or two these original equipment manafctures using KUBOTA engines have bitched and cried to kubota so much that the company (KUBOTA) has really come down hard on farm dealers for furnshing industrial engine parts. Not saying we (dealers) don,t do it. I am just saying when a dealer does it he is risking loosing the franchise so just have to be carefull.
