Got mine ploughed on Tuesday, wetter than I thought, but it was giving a very wet weekend for us here in Northern Ireland, so better get it done. Planted some earlies last week.

Dog is grinning because every time I turned my back when dropping taters, he would steal one and run to the house.
I will post a better pic of the hillers later today.

Is there a reason why you stagger them? When I hill on my IH 140 I run them even. I am only going to plant two or three 1200 foot rows this year.

I used to run them side by side and a friend told me they do a better job and make a wider bed if staggered. He was absolutely correct.
Try it.

Thanks for the pics, Richard. I'm gathering pieces to make one. Never thought of using a front mount cultivator, and I just happen to have one!

I love the front mount as it is so much easier to stay on the row when hilling and cultivating. Much easier to stay on the row when digging taters with my homemade tater plow.
