planning on go to the event, never been there, was thinking about going a day early to check things along the way, it seems that there is a tractor salvage yard west of Des monies on the south side of interstate 80, is this right,and about where is it, thanks rod

Don't know about west of Des Moines, but there is one in Colfax, east of Des Moines. I've talked to them on the phone, but whenever I go by, it's Saturday afternoon or Sunday. Someday I'm gonna leave early so I can stop in and look around. Chris

Sounds like you are a JD man but if you are enterested their is a Farmall Land at Avoca Iowa right off I80 has a large number of IH in his museum.Not sure if he has winter hours but like I say just right off the exit you could check it out.

The salvage yd is east of Des Moines at Colfax also a combine yd on the horth side at the same exit
