Wife stopped to check with Verizon today and said they could bundle our service with them and save over what we now pay for AT&T and Earthlink. So do any of you have Verizon and how do you like it and did it save you any.
Also any body heard that AT&T was being sued for over charging and if so what do you know about it

I have Verizon for the computer and like it a lot.

Thanks for all you contribute to this forum.

pends on your location. some areas verizon is better, other areas that have the att 4g service are finding att is faster than verizon 4g. so again.. depends on where your located and when who is adding 4g service.

then there is wired service... same story.

I have Verizon, bought out by Frontier, and I like it. A word of caution about Earthlink. They're hard to get shed of. I wrote to them at least six times, telling them to terminate my service and they ignored my request. Kept billing me. They turned it over to a collection agency, and I put up with their foolishness (phone calls & letters) until I sent copies of every termination letter that I'd sent to Earthlink, plus copies of payments made to them. I literally had to draw them a picture. Finally heard no more from them. To summarize - put everything in writing and keep all copies of correspondence and proof of payments. I hope you have a better experience than I did.

I had a similar experience. They send you to a collection agency after you've cancelled, then that agency won't contact Earthlink to straighten it out. Very frustrating. Find a different ISP.

Verizon wireless serves us very well. The man who sold us the service from the Verizon store said." I will be your tech support" He has personally helped us in every way. We have a mobile broadband tablet which provides service to our PC with a wi-fi adapter. The tablet has GPS and many other functions. As we travel there are some areas where we get no or poor service. For us in our location Verizon is the best for the money. ATT dial was where we came from. A great improvement.

I have had Verizon since 2009. They installed all new fiber optic cable in our area. I have the phone, TV and Internet. I also get AOL with it. You can now get all three for about $84.00 a month. Unlimited long distance calls within the states. You can get email sent to Verizon and AOL. I like AOL's email better even though I get a lot on Verizon. We have all new cabling and new equipment inside. Takes them about a full day to install it.

Our daughter had Comcast for a number of years and she switched to Verizon and she received a $500.00 gift card, but she had to pay for three months at once, She went ahead and paid it. Ask if they have any specials going on. They have very good trouble shooters if you have any problems and you can just call them. Hal

I just switched back, from birch communications, to them. The 2 land lines I have, plus 1 cell phone, amounts to just about the same I was paying birch, my main reason for switching is to see if they can fix an intermittent problem, that birch, and close call, before them, could/would not fix. I'm not holding my breath...

Those like PJH, who had collectors come after
them should check their ANNUAL CREDIT REPORT,
to make sure nothing detramental went on it!

Rich, ATT is getting sued, and losing, over their practice of "throttling" the download speed on smart phones that they had sold with "unlimited" data plans. After 3 BG of data usage in a month, ATT wouldn't let the customer have the speed they were used to. The customers could still use the smart phones for phone calls and they still had data but not usable applications. So far the cases have been in small claims court.

Greygoat - I imagine you're right about the credit score. I haven't ever checked mine. I'm old enough that I just don't give a hoot. I wouldn't know how to clear it up if I did check it, that is, unless I paid them money that I don't owe, and that ain't gonna happen, so. . .

If you do a search, you'll find a lot of negative stuff about Earthlink.

We got a card in the mail yesterday about a class action suit against AT&T and their dsl service. Seems they weren"t delivering the speeds quoted in the plans.

AT&T is "settling" rather than fighting. You get about $2.00 for every month.

We"re due a settlement, but neither of us remember how many years we had AT&T dsl service.

BTW, AT&T stinks. Had trouble with our dsl & land line for years. Took repeated calls for service to get it fixed. Lines would be out of service for 2 or 3 weeks every time we had a thunderstorm. Finally canceled land line, dsl & cell service.

Switched to Verizon and got mobile broad band for the computer. Its much slower than the dsl land line, but it works all the time and Verizon customer service has been very good.
