Hi, you guy's are very knowledgeable about Pickup trucks, maybe you can help me. I have a 1995 Ford F-150 with a 5.8 EFI engine. I've changed the fuel filter, the fuel pressure is 52psi, good spark at all cylinders, but it won't start. New battery so it turns over good, just no kick at all. I'm not that familiar with the fuel injector system so don't know where to look next. Any suggestions?

Are you getting any check engine lights. Your electronic control module may be the culprit. Hal

Just got done playing with a 98 chev with no start problem. After two days we added gas and learned never believe the gauge that says 1/4 tank. Felt foolish but learned not to listen to the owner.

ould be clogged injectors,if you have good spark and it doesnt fire its likely not getting fuel through the injectors or like someone else said the timing could be off,if it fires and quits when you release the key off start position then it is likelt ignition problems.

Spray little gas or carb spray in intake . See if it tries to light up ? If it does look for no fuel issues . Injectors won't all clog up enough to cause no start . Throttle postion sensor may be stuck wide open , try unplugging it and see what it does . Unplug injector check for voltage on one side with key on . , hook in series to other terminalk and crank over. Does light flash ? If not , no injector pulse . Possible wiring issue. Found shorted harness hitting exhaust crossover tube on backside of engine . Or PCM connector terminals shorted . Still stumped give a call during the day 319-329-0915

Had same trouble with my '94 f150. There is a fuel safety roll over switch located passenger side, behind the plastic kick-panel on the side wall. It is up high, about 3" square and has a red button up on top. Push down on the button as it acts like a circut breaker, you should hear it click. See if it will start. Will post a pic tomorrow if you want.

Check your relays in the power distribution box under the hood. I know one controls the fuel pump but the others control the PCM or the ECM, horn, AC and other stuff. I think the inside of the cover says which relay controls what, if not the owners manual does.

Since you have spark and fuel pressure there maybe a separate relay that controls the fuel injectors.

I have a 1997 F-350, same body as 92-96 F-150, with a 460 that would not crank, ended up being fire ants had gotten into and messed up 2 or 3 relays in this box.
