what do you guys pull behind your graindrills

Tower roller behind a single disc opener steel wheel CASE drill behind an SC Case. The 1940s were a good time.

A pair of cultipackers that together cover the width of the drill. 12' Van Brunt FB ( I think). Usually behind my Oliver 1600.

Harrow it as a seperate pass, but nothing behind the drill. Too cumbersome to refill the drill.

I don't know what a Cultipactor is.

I am planting my first field of Pearl Millet and they said sew shallow and seed-soil contact was important. So I bought a roller that was made for a 3pt, but I put a tongue on the other side that I could connect to my JD drill and do it all in one pass. The thing is full of water and weighs about 700# over 6'.

Usually drilled Sudan/sorghum and it was drilled deep and the little chains dangling behind the coulter was enough to get it going.

We'll see how things go this year.

I have end wheel drills too and use the drag chains that hook right to the disc arm but this set of press drills work best in my area cnt

before we had a press drill we would drag it with a spiketooth a day after seeding and if seeding alfalfa we also rolled it with a Western land roller, often the ground was too damp right after seeding to pull a roller behind the drill, in sandier or drier soils that might not be an issue
