I have a bolens 26" ridemaster. original evrything, everything is there and it runs. i am trying to figure out the date or where i can find the date. And a ballpark price on what they go for these days to a collector.

I can take a picture but not till tommarow. I can tell you it has a little goofy seat with no back. it has a shifter of to the side.

this is the exact mower everything is there original seat and everything

That is NOT a Bolens Ridemaster. The Ridemaster is a front-wheel drive culitivating tractor made by Food Machinery Corp (who bought out Bolens).

There is also a Bolens Ride-A-Matic small garden tractor. NO Ridemaster riding mower that I'm aware of.

It says ridemaster right down the side. They made two types. the one i posted the picture from the manual. I havent been able to find one for sale in good condition like mine. Also I only found one pic. Guessing that makes them rare.

Yes, that IS a Ridemaster. Bolens recycled that name.

That came in 2 models. A 24" and a 26".

A good, FRIENDLY bunch of Bolens guys that WILL help you out.

Can't say I've ever seen one of those with factory lettering of "Ridemaster." I have seen those riders though. I was a mechanic at a Bolens/Deere/DeLaval dealer in the late 60s.

I got looking through my old Bolens dealer manuals and found it. So, seems I learned something new. I've seen many of those little rotary rider mowers but never saw one with the Ridemaster lettering still on it. My Bolens dealer's book has it filed with the Fairbanks Morse riding mowers sold late 50s.

The front-wheel drive Husky Ridemasters that I'm acquainted with started out as FMC Bean Cutlers - but got named Bolen Ridemasters in the late 40s.
