I always like to look at your pictures, so I thought I would show some of my back fields.

The field in the last pic looks a little steep. Better use a widw front tractor on that one LOL.

Looks good Duane. I would start walking them hills till I couldn't walk em no more. Carry cell phone, in case. Dave

Beautiful pics. I love to see pics of woods and hills like that with fields by them. Thanks for sharing.

Centre County, close to Penn State. I envy the guys in the great plains for their big, long, straight fields, but this is home for me. Small crop=less lifting. Everything done manually around here ;)

I'm starting a small farm with my dad and we are in the same boat. Not a lot of land, but enough to raise some corn and potatoes on. All manual labor. The newest piece of equipment is a 1953 super M. Makes it more fun using the old stuff.

Beautiful countryside there on your farm.

What kind of evergreen trees in the first photo?

Thanks for sharing your photos with us.

The evergreens are an overgrown Christmas tree plantation. They were "left go" long before my Dad bought the place in '91. They are old, brittle, diseased, and have a propensity to fall into my hay fields. One stand of spruce is real nice. the pines are scruffy and reverting slowly to deciduious forest. No livestock for now, but I could use a mule to get around. No tellin' how fat I would be if I didn't have to hoof it up and down the hills! It is good exercise.

Jim, It's Chestnut Grove. That's Gander Step Mountain....Neighbor!

Speakin' of ganders, I saw four flocks headed due North today.
