Well here is the story on this, my grandpap bought this truck new in 1938 then sold it in 1951 and it went through 5 different owners and we finally tracked it down and my sister and brother-in-law bought it back. We still have the original bill of sale and owners manual. It is running rough when we can get it running has the strait 6 pontiac engine in it, so I"m looking for some info on this carb. It is a Zenith with these numbers on it 2047749 233 8451. What I"m looking for a a diagram of this model. I"ll try to get some pictures up later. Thanks in advance!!

Sure that is a Pontiac in '38? In any case I would recommend you go through the tune up procedure "by the numbers"

Carry yourself to the news stand and pick up a copy of "Hemmings Motor News" the world's collector-car marketplace some one in there will have the parts you need and as the other guy said do a tune-up by the numbers

I guess I forgot to add some information. The tune up was already done plugs, plug wires, cap, rotor, points, condensor. Yes it is a pontiac all the way down to the indian head on the block. It was the only year that they were used in GMC trucks.
