i have a 1962 allis chalmers d19 with a 6 cylender gas engine. looking to find correct firing order for the dist cap??

(quoted from post at 00:44:29 02/28/12) 153624. i wouldn't own a tractor without owning the manuals that go with it.

So how many times has someone else bought the tractor that you were going to get a great deal on while you waited for the manuals to come in before buying it?

If everybody on this site was as smart and fortunate as some people on this site there would be no need to have this site. I kind of thought that this site was a place to help people who are not as knowlageable about tractor related things as some. Just a second I'll get my ytmag bylaws out and check.

It would take less time to answer the guys question about firing order rather than bi3ch!@# about him not having the manuals. Why do people always do that??? This is a forum to help eachother after all. Maybe......manuals are on order and he wants to get started.

Personly,If you need a manuel for these older tractors your not much of a mechanic to start with.Maybe valve settings or firing order or even amount of oil,ect

Isn't the firing order on the dist. cap 123456? My D-19 manual does not give the number one cylinder. So I'd still be lost. Oop's have a tractor I use everyday and don't have a manual.

I often don't answer questions when I know the answer for sure because somebody always wants to argue.

Boy O Boy, Did this question open up a can of WHOOP A$$!

Not really sure the direction of most replies other than to spit nails and bite butt??

For the ones who gave the correct response - Thanks you.

Forget those guys who don't read the instructions, I mean use manuals. Only fools don't double check their work before diving into any project. Consulting the manual has saved many a stupid mistake when restoring several tractors and I never start one without aquiring a manual to go with it. I do wish I had a manual for a D19 to consult to tell you the firing order but I do think someone on here does know off the top of their head.
