Update on the SCARED thief from the other week.

For those that remember my post from the other week about the thief that got caught red handed and was so scared he messed his drawers I got an update over the weekend. Seems this guy unloaded his skid steer on the side of the road, drove it to the top of the hill across the street, and literally tore up the ground around a 5000 lb drop ball in an attempt to steal it.....with is 4-6 year old kid with him.............and got caught red handed by the property owner. All this and the DA decides what he did didn't show enough intent to file charges against the guy for anything.

Next time you catch someone stealing all I can say is if you want justice to truly be served, follow the old SSS doctrine. Seems like if we want to get the criminals off the street and keep them off it's gotten to the point it's being left on the shoulders of the man being stolen from. The law is on the side of the criminal nowdays in more cases than not so at least if you get caught you can claim you had no intent to get away with it.....and that ought to at least get you pardoned with an insanity defense........ Right, wrong, or indifferent....I'm just saying it'll get alot of crime/criminals off the streets that the cops don't seem to care about......

don't seem to care about? don't kid yourself. Those scum are their bread & butter & they will protect them from taxpayers, who are a dime a dozen.

This has become a country of lawyers and run by lawyers who need a paycheck. If they put all the criminals behind bars they would put themselves out of business.

From my experience, the lawyers and the courts (judges, etc.) are in cahoots. Remember, these people golf together, etc. It's in their best interest to draw things out as loooong as possible.

So in this case, this thief will get a finger shook at him this time, a stern talking to next time, a slap on the hand after that, etc. until ultimately (sigh) they do have to put him in jail. After, of course, we have spent thousands of taxpayer dollars. He'll be in front of a judge numerous times, he'll need a public defender, it never ends.

I read somewhere that back in the 30"s to make money the lawyers would put a lien on your farm. Then you would have to get a lawyer to get it off. Maybe thats why they were called the dirty 30's

The guy couldn't have been too bright anyway because it takes one huge skidsteer to lift and load 5000 pounds.

went to court one time(was the defendant(long story) Got there early. The lawyers were conversing with each other about their weekend plans. Both sides. Made me wonder why I didnt go 500 miles to find a lawyer.

I was scanning the yellow pages for Dallas, TX. once and was amazed at the number of pages in the Attorney section. So I counted the pages and the number of entrys on one page and came up with about 5,000.

Scary, and most of the Judges that get elected around here are Attorneys themselves.

I (actually my wife) caught a guy red handed, stealing coils of copper wire from my neighbor's barn. I blocked him in the neighbor's drive, and the cop wouldn't arrest him because he hadn't loaded the stolen wire into his truck yet. He had it piled beside the truck, and the drizzling rain hadn't washed the dust off of the wire yet. I got there too soon, I guess. Cop said he wouldn't have a case. . .

They finally put him in prison for another theft.

In the few times I have asked law enforcement to help me I have been totally dissatisfied. Always have an excuse about why their hands are tied.

But if you shoot a buzzard that is killing you cow and calf, they are right there to throw you in jail.

Criminal justice? What are you talking about. It's all about of the lawyers, for the lawyers, and surely by the lawyers.

Most of the judges are attorneys, the law says you have to be an attorney to be able to be a judge, can't be any other way.

Well. whatever you do, don't point your gun at the ground and fire it to scare him. Not unless you want to face prison charges like that older guy in New hampshire or around there somewhere from last week. What a raw deal there, huh? Good Lord, what happened to common sense in our nation.

Some years ago near me, just down the road a piece, this fella noticed activety in his neighbors home, but knew they weren't home. Were at work, and it was an active farm with a couple hundred acres. So he loads his shotgun and goes over to inspect, and sure enough, caught three break in guys in his neighbors house, so he held them at gun point until our town marshall got there, and of course, they all got arrested. It made the newspaper by me, and as I read it, all I could think was that when all was said and done that the neighbor would somehow become the bad guy and go to jail or prison after it all gets turned around, but he didn't. And neither did the three break in guys. One did get sent back to prison for some sort of parole violation for something else unrelated to the beakin, but the breakin charges got dropped against all three of them, caught red handed in the house.

Man, our nation has lost its mind. Its gone plum crazy. I wonder how long before mice start chasing cats, and cats start chasing dogs.
