The frost out yet?

I was working in the basement today and noticed my sump pump was kicking on more than normal for this time of year (heard it atleast 3 times today) I think the frost is on it's way out already, what little we had anyway.

How about you guys? The way it looks, it could be a very early spring here.

I hauled cow poo last weekend. No frost then & had to keep the loads on the small side. Where I hauled I did not get any mud on the tires. The problem was getting there.

Only what it freezes overnight, none other than that.Fact is they had to quit putting in tile till the surface froze a bit. Ohio

Ground is still hard as a rock here and covered in snow.

Don't think it got very deep this year, but it's not
going out yet around here. Occasionally get a little
mud on the tires on a warmer day, but only go down
1/2" or so. N/W WI.

My neighbor works for the road commission and they have tubes in they road where they measure the frost under the plowed roads. Week or so back it was between 30 and 40 inches deep depending on location.

But with the sun higher in the sky these days it will be coming out more quickly now.

Don, here in NW Iowa the tiling contractors have been digging in tile all winter. We should have three feet of frost. Kinda crazy isn't it? Jim
