<a href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/9106270/Mystery-virus-kills-thousands-of-lambs.html">Article</a>
I just read about this new virus in Europe that's affecting sheep and cattle. It causes stillborns in 20% of herds and is spread by biting insects (midges and mosquitoes). Not much is known about the virus yet and since there's no sign of it until lambing/calving season so the spread isn't well known yet. Scary stuff. If mosquitoes spread it, I don't see how it can be contained or controlled.
