Allis Chalmers 4W305 tractor

Hello, I also posted this over on the AC Board.
I would appreciate the benefit of your experiences on an AC 4W305. My brother has found one in apparent good condition and would like to know how well they worked, what were their good and bad points - - what failed and what had great life?
I also understand several parts are no longer available, but don't know what they are - - does anyone have experiences in problems getting parts for them, if so, which parts?

I don't want tobe a doomsdayer but there were less then 500 made and maybe 1 in 20-30 dealers ever sold one.A lot of the drive parts were from the 8070 tractors but the engine was a industral engine detunded that had problems.I only know of two tractors and both had to have the engines replaced within 2 years.The people that had them got rid of them within 5-6 yrs.Agco isn't going tobe your friend for parts on these.Good luck in what ever you do on them but they were a heck of a tractor if they stayed together.
