horse trailer hardware????

Looking for a source for door/ramp hardware (latches) and a couple other things for a horse trailer. Anyone know of an online source? Also, what is the most common rear doors on horse trailers in the States...ramp or swinging doors? Talking about 2 or 3 horse, bumper pull models... I can find everything except door latches for our trailer here and there isn't such thing as universal......

Appreciate any tips...

Most of the trailers in the States just have one
door with the latch on the left side. Most latches
are home-made and kinda go over center. Most
aluminum trailers use the same latches and hinges
as Semi trailers. Should be a lot of these latches
in your junk yards. Vic
 
Dave, most of the horse traier manufacturers buy their fabrication parts from a major supplier. That includes curved sheet metal panels, door hardware and rear door latches,
I seem to have lost their e-mail address but if you call Delta Trailer in Oklahoma and ask about door springs and latches they can give you the name of the supplier company.

I am a ramp guy. All my horse trailers have ramps rather than being step up with a side close door.
 

same as here... for some reason, the latches like I have just don't show up. Maybe I'll try posting a pic.... Nothing wrong with them other than a little safety pin you have to push in to open/close is a real bear and cost me several finger and thumbnails... Not a big deal for a heman but let the wife get one caught and it's time for a new trailer :roll:
