Here is a link to a really neat live site, there is a pair of eagles that are nesting around Decorah Iowa, they had this site last year and they hatched some little ones. I see she has laid one egg and is working on some more.http://www.ustream.tv/decoraheagles

In my area (northeast Missouri) I am seeing more eagles now than I am chicken hawks. There are getting to be several of them around. I'm not sure why that is. I guess they are just a chicken hawk with chrome..:) Mike

Something interesting that my wife and I discovered - on the bridge over Kentucky Lake - the one that the boat/ship knocked a section or two out of - there's an eagle's nest on the upper right corner of the first big truss as you approach the west end, headed eastbound. You can see the nest as a slight bump in several of the media photos. I worked around bridges all my life, and one day I noticed an un-symmetrical look as I approached the west end, so we stopped to look it over. An eagle looked over the side and down at us. It's been there for at least 5 or 6 years.

We are getting some nesting birds too, I know of two nests both along the road and close to the river. NEMO

Don't know the reason, but 89k acre lake Texoma, between OK and TX is home to lots. Really like to watch them soar. Years ago saw a few down on the TX coast around Corpus Christi.
