Bill Krosnicki - gasket question

Husband would like to know if you purchased gaskets (if so, where purchased)that happen to fit the areas of the Model R carb where you mentioned you do put gaskets...or if you made them.

If you made them, he is wondering what type gasket paper/thickness you used.

Appreciate any info - thanks!

i'm not Bill but i've made more gaskets than i care to think about out of cereal boxes and kids poster board.

You could make the one gasket with some thin (probably.010) gasket material, but small gaskets are a pain and they're not expensive. The one under the seat is a fiber washer. You will find other places where making the gaskets will pay off, especially if you get into the trans/ rear end.

Thanks,BCnT. I know my husband has made a lot of gaskets over time. The model R carb is just new to him - so he's trying to find out everything he can about them.
