Looking for this pulley.

I am looking for the large pulley in the pic. Just under 15" diameter, 3.5" wide, and 1" shaft. I'll take anything close to this size. It has a casting number 255 and is for a Frick thresher.

Do you want historical accuracy or do you just want to get the thing running? I my area there is a Amish blacksmith/machinist who makes stuff like this all the time. But it won't have those curvy spokes. I'm sure most any Amish community has a guy like this, you just need to take a day and go find him. At the very least, you can still have fun with your machine while you continue to search for the exact part.

Like Fritz said, a pulley could be made without a lot of trouble. A piece of tubing the right diameter, weld in a center and spokes and have it trued up on a lathe. If you want original style, then you would have to find someone with an original that you can use as a pattern to have a new pulley cast.

What machine is this on? I have a few extra parts and pulleys for a U. S. Standard/Goodhue corn husker shredder.

T.B. Woods still makes flat belt pulleys, both straight face and crowned. They come with QD hubs so they will fit any shaft.

E mail me. I think I have the pully you need. It is on a old wood thresher that has rotted down. The whole machine is for sale. He is talking about scraping it. I am fairly sure that it is all there just rotted to the ground.
