Did the 1940 H have an electric start? If not, does anyone know what year they started making the H with the electric start? Thanks!!

My 1940 does not have electric start, I don't know when they added it.

I always thought it was an option, nothing to back it up.

Electric start was a option starting in 1941 at serial number H-27000.

Just checked the parts book avaible on line and start of the electrical parts was 27,000 so acording to the serial list on this site should be about 2 months into the 1941 model year. Think should not have been a problem to add to earlier ones.
