Ever see one of these before???

This little machine is coming up at a local auction next month. I was wondering if anyone had ever seen one or knew of anybody that had one. I've done a little research on the internet, but can't find much. Any info. would be appreciated.

Never seen anything like it but it appears to be a small snow plow based on the way it's designed. I say that because the linkage on the blade doesn't appear to be substantial enough to push dirt, it has an enclosed cab to keep the operator warm, along with tracks that look to be really wide in comparison to what the thing probably weighs.

We Call them snow cats A local fire dept has one for getting into long driveways for closed in older folks that need help in severe weather it looks closer to the last one on

As my MIL used to say, "I'll bet good money" that it's this rascal.

it looks like a Cushman trackster a freind had one that just sold this past year I think there is a company making them again I cant see it being rugged enough for that plow though

There's a company in Quebec called Tremzac that's selling something very similar called an Oxtrac. Maybe your auction idea and this both originate from China. Here is the Oxtrac specs:

Engine: 35.5 hp, 4-cylinder Perkins diesel engine
Transmission: Variable 2-speed, Sunstrand hydraulic transmission
Skid Capacity: 16,000 lbs
Width: 49” (124 cm)
Height: 129” (328cm)
Weight: 4,800 lbs (standard package before additional accessories)
Caterpillar Tracks: 10" (26 cm) wide with cross members
Clearance: 12.5” (32 cm) full length
Ground Disturbance: Max 3.9 PSI
Fuel Consumption: 3.8 l/hr (1 Gallon/hr)
Standard Accessories: front and rear blades, removable caterpillar guards, 8,000 lb winch

Hope this helps

I have an ASV RC 30 rubbertrack loader, which has a similar sized undercarriage. It is much beefier, though. I adapted a 6' hydraulic snow blade, similar, to that one, and it is the ultimate snow moving machine, till you get into too deep snow. I use a 4' Snow thrower, when it's too deep, for the plow. I doubt that the one in the picture would have the same strength, in the undercarriage, in the long run. You can pick up an ASV RC 30, with low hours, for $12,500 or less, at auction these days, if that helps.

Contact the auction company to get the brand, model #, year, and serial # of the both the ATV and the snow blade. Also ask about the machine's history, the seller's phone # and when/where it can be inspected. The auction company should be happy to supply that information.

The heavy rust on the blade looks like it has been parked in the sun and it has not been used in the last five years or more.

That looks like a 5 or 6 foot blade. That's a big blade for that light of a machine. If it moved much wet heavy snow the machine's drive line could be worn out. Road salt is hard on track idlers and bearings, look it over well.

Good luck.

Cushman Trackster. Only made for a few years. Got one. I put a new little 24hp kohler in it. I have a blade for it. Haven't used it though. Power out the front, power divider to two hydraulic motors that power each track. Not very fast but runs like a top. I dont have the cab for it though.

Only thing that I dont like is that the steering reacts very fast. I'm not good with hydraulics but I'd like to slow that down.

Let us know what it goes for. I'm thinking about selling mine.
Thanks
Hound

Looks like the old Cushman Trackster I used to have but with a welder or hyd. pump unit in the back of it. The one I had didn't have external hydraulics on it for a blade. The body and the tracks look the same. Wish I still had it.

Thanks for the info. guys. Looks like it may be a pretty handy little rig, and something ive been looking for to toy around with.

I have one of these and they are just a big boy toy, The plow mounted on it is too big and will not push much as the machine is to light and will loose traction. I have had mine for several years now and I run it in mud and have had it in 4' of snow no problem. parts are easy to get and the price is anywhere from 1k up to 5k. They come with a 29 hp 2 cycle engine but you can get a conversion kit for other engines. Top speed is about 16 mph and they will crawl up a wall if you can get traction.
