polarity of battery for toy car

I need to hook up a 1.5 amp charger for the battery in on of those crappy little cars. There is no indication of polarity on the wires ,plug ins or color code. How can I determine the polarity?

Use a meter, you might have to bypass the diode to do it.

I replaced the battery with a 12 volt motorcycle battery. The little f-150 goes twice as fast, goes for hours instead of minutes between charging and just hook up the regular battery charger overnight.
