Income tax time

I see on form 4136 (where I get fed. tax on gas bought for farm back) there is a $1/gallon credit for biodiesel mixtures. I found 100 gal. pure(99%) bio this past summer, bought it and mixed it myself. Looks like you need some special paperwork to get the credit. All I've got is a purchase receipt. It also looks like this is the last time for this credit.

I didn't even see that on the state form I sent in. It looked like the one I always send. Only problem I've got with sending original receipts is that the supplier I have now only gives me one copy. I send them in and the state doesn't return them. The old supplier gave me 2 copies.

Same here. The state form(gets back three taxes) was the same as always. I make copies and send off the originals.

I just tabulate expenses and save original receipt to show in case of an audit.

I NEVER SEND ORIGINALS!!! If they want to see them I tell them where they are and to make an appointment if they want to see them. Been down that road, baught the tee shirt.

With this state gas tax refund,they just plain don't give it to you unless you send the original receipts marked paid.

This form isn't IRS. It's State Department of Treasury,Motor Fuels Division.
