upcoming auction this sat, some old deeres, an h, a ford that is stuck in the trees....a minnie...

Be interesting to know what that poor old Ford brings. Also, what model is it? Hard to say for sure, but I think it's a NAA, but could maybe be an 8N.
 
Remember that post the other day, "money pit tractors", wouldn't that ford be pre-qualified at minimum. Rags to riches story if it were repaired, would be an expensive, great story, parked when new, (judging by the tree size) then restored, photos starting with it hugging trees.

Should start a new post, worst basket case ever brought back, money ahead or money abyss LOL !


That is a nice size tree, one of my D7 caterpillars sat for 25 years, some vines and small trees, as I recall, same thing with the ole 45 IH baler I posted about last summer, trees but not nearly as big. There is a junkyard south of here that has cars from the 50's and back, where trees like that grew up through them was a field when parked but some of these had to be sitting for 60 years, went in there with a friend, looking for 62 impala parts, all of it was just wasted, someone from california had flown in that day, said the same thing, nature wants that iron back in the soil. We did find stacks of old street signs, they, bought an old stop sign, yellow and black, fun place to visit.
 
Looks like the plunder for consignment sales is kinda scraping the bottom of the barrel.
 
randy, the deere's, h and the little ford all came from a farmstead, not sure what happened to the owner but the tractors (except for the ford) have been in a shed for over 20 years. lots of old implements came from there too, disc plow, 2 mounted cultivators, several pull type plows, ect. lot of neat old stuff on the hay racks from there too.
 
Wish I was closer. I could stand to break up the boredom with a good auction,but I'm not bored enough to drive that far.
 
Are the hay racks the kind on wheels that you pull around the field or the kind that you hang on the wall to feed animals from? I wish we had auctions like that in the winter, but here there is pretty much nothing from December to March except indoor auctions, which are not so much my thing.

where is this auction located?,id like to have that loader off that ford.dont know that i NEED it for any reason but it would be useful once in a while.would be handy for pushing tree limbs up in a pile.
 
kendall county fairgrounds just south of yorkville illinois on rt 71. auction starts this saturday at 9 am
 
zach, they are pull type racks. this auction is the annual fund raiser for the fairgrounds to help with operationg expenses. a portion of the sale is donated to the fairgrounds. its the first one of the year that kind of kicks off the upcoming spring. see lots of old friends there, kind of a big social event. they load the hay racks with all kinds of odds and ends, tools, ect and have one auction truck doing the racks. second truck handles all the farm equipment. good times, ya gotta come out to one!!!
 
Ever wonder how fast that ford was going when it hit those trees? LOL. I've never understood why anyone would just park a piece of equipment and never move it again.
