I have a 1650 Oliver that uses more oil then I like.It runs realy well with all kind's of power.It does'nt smoke when you got the rms up from a idle dut at a idle and coming off a idle to a more larger rpm it smoke's.I guess my qustion is do's the 1650 have valve seal's?
 
I&T Manual says non diesel intakes do. Early ones used neoprene,later ones used Perfect Circle. Says the early ones can be changed to Perfect Circle with machining.
 
This is the odds I give on an I.T. manual giving correct information:

50/50

Sometimes NO manual can be better than one with incorrect information.
 
I have change the valve seals years ago in a 1966 ford pickup with a 352 V8.It had preaty much the same problem.It corected it 100 persent.I"m just seeking If the 1650 oliver has valve seals because I want to have all my eggs in one basket and ready to complete the job for I will be doing it OUT SIDE.Any Imformation is good Imformation.Thank you.
 
You would need to post a serial number for us to be more positive about what you have. I have seen more of the perfect circle ones bad than the other.
