I'm looking at this Ford 1710. I'd welcome info and comments on it. What is a fair price? The bucket has holes rusted through in places and the tires are weathered and cracked, but have tubes.

Hydraulics all work, and everything sounds OK.

Any and all input appreciated!

It's a 1985 model.24 H.P. weighs about 2500# without the loader, price should range between $2500-4000,locayion and condition dictates that as you probably know. My neighbor has had one for years with very few problems, looks like this one has set outside a lot.Hope that helps.

Looks pretty rough and mistreated; expect that maintenance was very poor or non-existent. Would pay the low end of scale for it, and expect to buy real OEM Operator Manual, Parts Manual, and REpair Manual. Change ALL fluids, ALL filters, flush cooling system, new thermostat, new belts, pressure wash, clean exterior of radiator, and all fins good, clean up real good. Take wet and dry compression readings, check out all wiring, lights, etc. Then you will know what repairs/maintenance it needs. Tom

Good little tractors, but parts are very hard to come by except at NH dealer and the prices they want for them are unbelievable.3 to 5 times what they cost for a regular Ford. They were built by Shibura in Japan. I have a 1500 I bought new,has been a good little tractor, but I don't know if I would buy a used one or not unless it was a heck of a deal.
