This has been an interesting January. Last Sunday, heavy thunderstorms, 1.7 inches of rain; this week pushed snow on two different occasions of 3-4 inches each, lows of 4 degrees; last night more thunderstorms and 52 degrees; tonight 24 degrees and chance of snow. Wow, it's weird this year.

Yep went from around ~50 highs to 0 lows to ~50 high in about a week. Midmich
Michigan"s winter is more like a Kansas winter...
Finally put my snowplow in the old farm truck last week. Used it once just to clean up around here. Today, after rain overnight, no need of plowing. Couple days ago I had a reading of -7.8 farenheit over night. Today it"s in the 40"s.

Old timers used to say that if you heard thunder in the winter it would snow in a few days. Y'think maybe they were right?
