Wondering if anyone has expierience with shipping tractor parts from Canada to US and can give me some advice as to easiest and somewhat reasonable cost wise way to ship used tractor parts from Alberta Canada to Nebraska USA. How quick they get theres not an issue and I'm not making any money here. Just doing a fellow YTer a favour with some parts I found on an old rusted up reck in the trees. Package would weigh aproximately 28 pounds and when boxed up be about 24 x 12 x 4 in. 4 items, 2 gas caps, battery base and starter off an antique tractor. Thank for any help. Rocko.

i have used ups from the states to can., but they are stupidly expensive. i try and stick with the post office on smaller stuff.

Forget UPS or Fedex. They are ridiculous on "international" shipping.

Canada Post will be your best bet. If you don't care how long it takes, use the equivalent of "Parcel Post" level shipping

A box that's 24" in any dimension is NOT small. It may be cheaper to send 2-4 smaller packages. Gas caps in one. Starter in another. Battery tray in the third.

I used Canada Post Expresspost(1-2days) to send a wallet left here from Christmas and it got there(200km within Canada) on time and undamaged 25 hours from when I sent it. It won't be cheap though, but Canada Post would(I think) be the cheapest on brokerage/other fees. Canada post is $55 for regular parcel, 80 for Express and Purolator is 55 for ground and 267 for Express. Keep those pesky brokerage fees in mind though. Prices were estimates from Camrose to Lincoln

Thanks for the link Dave. Just checked out Can post rates. Not so bad. 58.00, there in 6 days. Didnt get us duty's quite figured as i didnt buy the stuff so value is kinda debatable. Multibale items make that harder also. One thing might help there is parts were originally Made in USA. Rocko.

I was think that also but now thinking that multiple items with probably some kinda minimum charge might end up more.?? Figuring Can post for sure at this point. Typed in dimension ect on web site. came out at 58.00/6 days. now trying to figure duty etc. Part are off a DC Case So originaly Made in USA. Rocko.
