2640 JD Injector pump

Remove the top, look at the shaft inside and take a picture or make a drawing of the shaft, you deiced if you want to tackle it, it's not that hard to do but be sure it goes back with everything in the same position as it was before removal..

Throttle shaft isn't in the top cover but on the pump body.

Thanks everyone. Mine looks a little different. I think I will have a pro look at it. Might be other stuff needing care.
 
A pro can replace the throttle shaft o"rings without removing the pump,(not much bucks) whether he will would be up to him. Most likely he'd want to do a complete pump O"ring replacement which would require the removal and the disassembly of the pump.(much bucks)
 

The reason for SN request as there are 2 parts catalogs and I wanted to be sure I posted correct info. As you probably know your tractor is a late '82. Your tractor should have this inj pump (ROOSA-MASTER NO. JDB435MB3795)
