Nice pic's. Reminds me of my childhood and adulthood.

Hopefully our nieces & Nephews and Grand nieces and nephews will look back on pictures with us and have the same memories.

Watch out though, the safety police will be here in 3-2-1.....

Thanks for the memories.

First Pic is me in an IH loader and dad on his Massey Harris 44 Special in 1978
2nd is dad and I in the farrowing barn in 1980

3rd is in 1991 my dad and his 560 and McCormick 52 loader

4th is the last fall my dad was on the farm. I rebuilt his Woods Brothers pickes so he could see it pick one more time.

5th is my dad and one of his pets in the 1960s

6th is my grandfather and his oldest brother on the family farm by Waterbury Ne. in the 1920s

7th is the next generation, hope I have a farmer of 2 in that group.

Your picture of the Woods Bro picker brings a lot of memories, My father bought one in 1946 and said "You are going to pay for it". Took a lot of acres.

I remember dad sending me up in the bucket of the 8N to find the cattle when they were in brush pasture. Get in the bucket, hunker down until it stopped, then stand up, hanging on to the sides. Same routine going down.

My request to ride in the bucket while underway got a firm NO.

Thanks for the pics.

Had my wife lift me up to put a tarp on a huge bulging load of shocked oats one time. JD B with NewIdea-Horn loader. That thing would reach beyond belief. Scary ride, as wife wasn"t very confident on that rig. Actually did it twice, as tarp blew off before I got it tied down. I"m too old for that kind of adventure.

My Dad had a woods bros picker just like it. I loved riding on the tractor watching it work. (Had my own seat on the Farmall M. Last he ran it I was about the age of you in the loader picture.

Then he got a two row mounted on the M and only one could ride!

Harvested my first crop of corn with an old Woods Bros- 6 acres in 1961. Lot of water under the bridge since then--
