Wife is down in IA for a few weeks so I'm baching it. I found out that I'm spoiled now that I have to cook for myself. I also found out that I'm a better cook. Don't think I'm going to tell her that!

I remember an old guy on the milk route telling me the first thing he learned was not to let egg yolk dry on a plate.

You know the old saying, "Absence makes the heart grow fond" and or you do miss her cooking right ??? LOL !

I'm doing the same thing. My wife flew to Florida for a week. Guess I'm lucky though. My wife made up 7 dinners and froze them for me. I just mico- wave it for a few minutes and I'm good to go. My daughter brought over a big containor of bean soup for lunchs. Not to mention the gift cards for McDonalds, Tim Hortons, and subway I got for X-mas from the kids on my bus route. I do know how to make oatmeal and toast for breakfast though. I can cook if I realy have to but we won't tell anyone that though.

Seven or eight years ago, my wife went to help her mom take care of her dad after he had a knee replaced. Talk about a big empty feeling whenever I walked in the house.

I don't envy you at all, you'll appreciate her more when she gets back.
