Fellow went into the Dr's office.. nurse ask what he had .. he said "shingles" so the nurse shows him a room, and was told the usual about stripping and put on the gown, told him Dr. would be in shortly so he did, and a few minutes later the doc came in and ask him what the problem was.. The man said "I got shingles" doc said "OK lets see them. the man said "they are out in the truck"
 
Was his name "Bubba"? Heard it before but always get a chuckle out of it. I guess there is a lesson there, sometimes we need to be a little more specific about things.
 
This is not funny.

I have known several people with them and they are horrible; disfiguring, itching, pain 24/7 no cure. When my friend got a bad case of them, has had them for 9 months and still has them, uses celephane tape to tape his eye lid open so that he can see from that eye. I went to the Dr. and got a vaccination against them. Not nice.

My wife went in the hospital to have gall bladder surgey and after surgey started complaining about pain,come to find out she caught shingles.She came home to find that I tore the kittchen ceiling down and was in the process replacing the sheetrock and insulation.Immediatly she walked in the house and started cleaning up the old insulation that fell and picking up the sheetrock,rode to the land fill and climbed up on the truck and helped shovled it off.The next day thoes shingles were gone

Texmark. I caught the shingles about 5 yrs ago. You are right. They are terrible. I suffered with them for over a year. Very painful. I would wake up at night just screaming from pain. HOWEVER, I still think this is funny.
 
My neighbors wife got them and she went to the doc and he gave her some meds. No good, several trips and several different meds later still no good. Her son told her to take L-Lysine. They went away fairly quick. I don't know if it was coincidence not but maybe worth a try?
