If it works on boots I'll try some. They're usually in the same condition as my tractor tires- mud and manure. Wife might appreciate something that makes them "self cleaning".

I researched that one time and found out that silicone is what the navy uses to prolong anything rubber on their ships. I then found out the main ingredient in tire black is silicone so that is what I use.

several ways use, dirt, mud, and cow manure on it work well, or any of the name brand protetants, if its a show tractor, keep it inside out of the sunlite, all my tractors are using tractors, but
i do know that nothing ruins faster than a new chinamade tire on anything, unused, and sitting out in direct sunlite

dont know about cow manure, as i was told thats the worst thing for tires. makes em crack up.

(quoted from post at 14:26:20 01/12/12) My uncle used glyceren (sp?) on his RV tires.

HTH....don t. ...

I don't know about tires, but our area is bad for car doors freezing shut because it'll warm up to just above freezing, condensation kicks in, and drop below at night. The rubber/foam doorseals stick shut all the time. The glycerin is a cure for that.......

Well, the main objective here is, I believe, to have your tire sidewalls last as long as the tread. The way that I have found to do that is to have a few miles of paved road between places where you use the tractors. Sometimes it seems that it is working a little too well.
