Need help IDing Ford Industrial -62?

I'm looking at a Ford Heavy Industrial tractor. The guy who recently painted it (it's now all yellow) thought it was red on the engine before it was painted yellow years ago. As best I could read the serial and model numbers (rear and above the starter) they are: top number = 1341-D-S, and bottom # 60046 with a diamond on either end. It's a four cyl. deisel with the heavy cast front grill.

The guy who's selling it (around $3700) with loader fixed it all up for his Dad; went through the hydraulics - new hoses, rebuilt pump, etc, upgraded the electical to alternator, 12V, etc,
all new tires, paint, seat. There's about a ton of weight hung on the rear as ballast, but done right. When he got it done dad said keep it. The power steering was the cable type but was changed to hydraulic. The tractor has a rear PTO and the three point attaching points, but no arms.

He also worked on the engine (new head, one piston and ring)and checked the clutch, etc and installed an ether shot for starting as well as a block heater. He changed the filters to spin on type.

What I really want to know is what model and year it is. I'll probably buy it although I have a skid steer and really don't need it.

Your opinions are needed as to model and price.

Thank you.

Sounds like a lot of money to me.

I've got a 1963 Ford 4000 industrial with 723/724 backhoe-loader on it. 172 gas with a Sherman three-speed aux. transmission. Power steering and 4 speed trans plus the aux -i.e. 12 speeds forward. It's been a great machine. I paid $2800 for it a few years ago. Engine is beat and eats and leaks oil but still a great runner. Numbers are mine are as follows:

Model 41301S ser. # 18114 (with diamond marks at each end of the serial number).

I'm not real familiar with the industrial variants, but I'll give it a shot...
I think the 1341-D-S should be 1841-D-S. There was a 1801 Industrial. The 4 would indicate a 4-speed, which fits with the -S meaning a Sherman auxiliary trans, as the Sherman only fits in 4-speeds. The -D would indicate a diesel engine. The cable steer was only used for a short time, and many have been converted. 60046 is the serial number. I don't have my book handy, but I'd guess it's older than a '62... probably a '58 or '59. Price isn't a bargain, but sounds reasonable, for what he's put into it.

It"s a 1959 1841 Heavy Industrial with a 4 speed trans, a Sherman auxilliary and a diesel engine.
Why did he only replace one piston while he was in the engine?
