Gun Parts Pic

I recently bought a Remington 1889 double barrel 12 gauge, it had fallen off a mantle and broke the trigger guard off, would anybody know of anybody who would have some obsolete parts for this old gun.

Thanks

Yes - Numerich Arms is likely to have it. Biggest use gun parts supplier in the USA, if not the world.
They now go by the name "gun parts coporation." I've been buying from them for 50 years. Great place. But the rarer and older the gun is -the more pricey the parts if they only have used-original. They also sell reproduction parts for a lot of guns.

Here's a link to their OEM Remington 1889 hammer shotgun parts . . .

I had looked there and I see its sold out but I will try and call and see if they could find one for me, you gotta love these old guns but hunting for parts sure does get old

Also guy named Jack First. On the internet. If you have damascus barrells, don't fire it until you know more about them. They will be destroyed. For mantel hanger, I would be hammering on some hot rolled steel, if you know about how it looks. Dave

I have one that looks pretty much identical that my great uncle bought new in 1886.

I hunted with it when I was a kid, but I don't fire it any more. It would probably take trap loads, but it's not worth the risk of blowing it up.

I lost all this when my hard drive went out. I 'think' someone in Washington state reproduces these parts, and a guy in Colorado stocks new and used. When my brain warms up....
GPC in new york has the largest catalog of sold out parts in the world. If it isn't surplus Mauser or Mosin Nagant, they are unlikely to have it. But it is in the catalog! I need a stock and hammer for an earlier model- an 1879. Someday I will alter a close one to fit, some Belgians from that era are identical. Just keep doing google or bing searches, worded different ways...

Check Dixie Gun Works,They have repo parts plus there are muzzle loader parts that will fit.parts dealers at gun shows have many old parts.

I looked thru my gun parts catalog. There are trigger guards fom other makes that would fit the Remington.I find parts at gun shows often.Buying a junker for parts may be the best way.

What other models would work on the 1889, I wasn't sure if they would or not the trigger guard doesnt look like anything too special
