I have a 300 gallon fish tank that has no been used for anything besides storage for atleast 6 years. Its all plastic and holds water but would this be safe if my dumb class mates would decide to stick their hands in it with the electric flow running throw it?

I want to use this on tractor parts but i feel like theres kids in school that think they could swim in it.

300 gallons is gonna take a lot of washing soda, and a lot of current. Might be overkill. What are you wanting to do that requires something that big?

I made mine out of a 50 gallon plastic drum.

What are you planning on usig for the metal grid?

Dont get me wrong, there are some parts I wish I had the capacity to clean that wont fit in my 50 gallon drum, i just have to revert to plan b for them.

Good luck.

And if some nimrod wants to climb in then that kinda is a "Darwin Award" thing!

well thats the best container i have other then a 5 gallon bucket and ill be filling it once and it will be a new adition for the shop for the class. I have a good source of current to use.

Mainly i just wanted to know if these "Geniuses" will die if they start touching the water?

I have one made from one of the plastic 250 gallon totes with the top cut out of it. I think it has 10 lbs of washing soda in it and I use a 10A battery charger to run it. It has 3/16 x 4 x 20" steel plates on 3 sides as sacraficial anodes. It works great and is the perfect size.

You will not get shocked by reaching into the water.

Don't drop any small parts in the bottom however. It is a long way to fish them out.
