That's finer'n frog hair............ I'll send the video to our buddy and see if it was something that was here.... Doubt it tho, but you never know....
 
There used to be a model built here in the US for roof mount towing with a full sized car. Only one I saw in person was being hauled by a flat-bed pickup with a special made tripod hitch bolted to the bed. Guess it was a fairly nice unit, but strange mounting.
 
in the list of videos following that one they also show the one you may of seen on the price is right.
 
LOL I know if Georg can see it .. Wont take him long to fabricate one for his Van.. He can fabricate anything .
 
I remember seeing a sales lot for these things in the '70's- several trailers, one hooked to (mounted on?) an early '70's full size Olds. The lot didn't last very long, and I don't recall ever seeing one on the road.
 
Neighbor who raised llamas used similar setup on small stock trailer. Had a Mini Blazer/GMC equivalent (mid 90's?) with ball on roof at about over rear axle. Never did get a look inside to see tripod/post. First noticed it when he was turned fully around under the nose of the trailer pushing it into a narrow barn. Believe he sold out when llama bubble burst.
