While planting corn last year,1 light on John Deere M2000 seed monitor quit. Dealer replaced bulb and then that light would never go off. Then dealer wanted to send it away. Is there any testing or fixing we can do with this at home? Any one know where we could get a wiring diagram for it? Any one know where we could get repairs done with out getting bent over?

Are you sure the seed sensor is good in the row that stays lit?

They make seed sensor testers, one source is Shoup Parts.

Could be a broken wire in the planter harness.

Most likely the monitor was made by Dickey John. If you deem repair is necessary, dealing with them directly may save you the cut your dealer would get for sending it for you.

I have a few tips for you to try before sending it off. Try switching the tube with one you know works. If that row light still is on then try to wire brush the connections and hit them with some good contact grease. This is a problem I dealt with from time to time and had good results useing the john deere contact grease. And of course look for pinched / broken wires. Hope this helps.
