Hi all. I.m trying to ID the motor in a Case 5603285DO.The motor casting # is B4848A.What is this motor and was it used in any other models? Looking for rod bearings. The Case suppliers I,ve have no info on record. Thank youfor your help, Crux.

The DO is the orchard version of the D series, i.e.
D, DC, DO, DH, DV, DCS, DE (stationary engine). All used the same engine. They have babbited rods and no individual bearings except for the mains which are no longer available. You adjust them by removing shims on each side of the bearing cap.

Thank you Tommy. Seems strange they made that D series for so many yrars and the replacement bearings are no longer available. The tractor I'm trying to save has a spun #4 bearing. The rod bearing can be made Right? The mains I'll have to live with? Do you know the Cu. Displacement and how the motor was identified? Thanks again, Crux

You need the measurement of the crankshaft journal and then send the rod to someone like Don Livingston to have it rebabbited.

I have no idea of the id for the engine.
