hauling manure

Since I have no friends or family around here except for my dog and cows I dont have anything going on for Christmas. Do you guys think it would be rude of me to haul manure on Christmas day ?

Dieseldoc, you do what you gotta do. I feel for you brother. I've had a couple alone Christmases, and a bunch where I was deployed. I hope you can spend some timewith your family soon, however.

More than anything it deprnds dramatically where you put it! If distribution includes those antagonistic individuals that deserve it. and they have a fan. why not (kidding). But if kind of all over probably a bad idea.
If however it is onto a field, you are giving the field a present! Jim

closest is about a mile and all neighbors are farmers so I dont think it would bother them. But it is Christmas day.

When I was younger I hauled a load each Christmas morning. It was a good way to stay out of the house and make time go faster until family arrived. I always thought it was my present to the cattle.

Well, I'm sure someone had to clean out that stable in Bethlehem. Oh, why not just take the day off? Everyone deserves to just throw it in neutral and let 'er idle once in a while!

Every Christmas eve, some jerk drops a sleigh on my roof. I had this idea of stealing his cargo, which I'm told are toys, and filling his sleigh with some of that manure.

I cant see any reason not to. I always try to find something to keep me busy on Christmas day so I can avoid family....

Do whatever you gotta do, but don't forget to relax a little.......Treat every day like it's Christmas or a birthday (be thankful for what you have and that you are breathing) and questions like this won't occur to you.....
Bavarians have more religious holidays than you can shake a stick at and just aggravated the hell out of me until I got fed up and just started doing what is needed when it's needed..... Merry Christmas to you and enjoy some quality time with whatever is important to you.

Dave

Just dont do what I did a few years ago and get stuck in a snowdrift to top it all off. Spent quite a few holidays alone myself, so I feel for you.

you cant have all that fun,you will make us jealous! you need to get some agravation in your life! You need to get yourself a girlfiend, then marry her, then she will TELL you if you can spread manure! lol Merry Christmas!

Sure, go spread the manure, and then go visit someone else who is alone, and doesn't have the ability to get out. you can brighten their life a little. Better change your clothes first though.

Hahaha...I always tell me wife I wish I had a job where I HAD to work the holidays. Then I could avoid the family and get double time pay. Thats a win-win there....

We never hauled it on Christmas Day, but we did clean out 3 barns and that was done every day. We had a large concrete pit where we dumped the manure. If the ground was frozen we would spread it usually in March and again in Nov. Sure would've been nice to have had a skid loader back then. Hal
