any idea where I can find the going price for scrapping a junk van. I have no way of getting it to a scrap yard and am thinking of using one of the guys that advertise cash for junk cars. Just wondering what is a going or fair value

230.00 per ton here, 60 miles down the road they advertise 180.00 per ton. Prices are going up the last two weeks.

Hauled a 81 Pontiac Boniville to Diel Neumaier Co Deforest Wi back in Sept it brought $407.40 I get 1/2 for loading and hauling

Keep in mind the chore of prepairing and hauling/cost of gas if you aren't well set up to do it. Some places need tires-fluids-gas tanks removed to bring a decent price. If someone will come pick it up and give you cash $250 may be a good deal.

Whats the deal with the converters? Dad has one out in an old shed from the new pickup my grandpa bought back in 78? I bet it wasnt on one week, dad took it off so grandpa could fill gas out of the farm tanks that had regualar gas in them. Are they worth the same new or old? We have a few old vehicles with them still on that we parted out.

sold one that old or older last year for $25. Junk dealer spotted it in my garage. I priced it but was guessing based on advertised prices at the time. Take them to several places before you sell.

About a month ago a person had a 15 year old mid-size car, broken back window, flat tire, few major dents and car didn't run. He called an auto wrecking place, they came out with wrecker, towed his car off and paid him $300.

The old flat ones from the 70's and 80"s with the beads in them are worth the least. The newer round ones with the honeycomb are the valuble ones.

cars are 12 to 13/hundred, regular uncleaned steal 11/hundred cleaned metal is double, and aluminum is close to 65/hundred
